The Fellowship in GI Endoscopy (FGIE) in India is a program designed to provide advanced training in endoscopic procedures for medical professionals. It offers hands on experience in both upper and lower GI endoscopy.

The program aims to:

• Strengthen the fellows' scientific knowledge base in gastroenterology

• Develop their clinical and technical skills in endoscopy

• Provide practical training under the guidance of experienced endoscopists

Through a combination of lectures and hands-on training, fellows gain the necessary expertise to perform GI endoscopic procedures independently.

Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:

1. Demonstrate proficiency in performing Upper GI Endoscopy procedures.

2. Master the techniques and skills required for Lower GI Endoscopy.

3. Understand the indications, contraindications, and complications associated with Upper and Lower GI Endoscopy.

4. Interpret endoscopic findings and correlate them with clinical conditions.

5. Develop competence in therapeutic interventions during endoscopic procedures.

6. Gain insights into sedation and anesthesia protocols for GI Endoscopy.

7. Enhance communication skills with patients and colleagues in the context of endoscopic procedures.

• Vet lab sessions

• Real OT experience

General information:

• An AIIMS India retired professor, specialized in their field, will provide you with training.

• Skill development officer responsible for daily training tasks with a highly skilled and dedicated team

• Intensive training for 8-10 hours per day on a daily basis.

• The comprehensive training program integrates multiple learning modalities, including dry lab exercises, wet lab experiments, practical experience in a real operating theater, and theoretical lectures.

• The Training using a small batch approach, and to ensure specialized faculty is dedicated to each area of specialization.
